Back in 93' or 94' (if you know me, then you know my memory is awful) I used to get up at about 4:00 AM and hop the Metro to Pentagon City in VA for work. Those mornings were cold and silent. Well, except for the sounds of A Tribe Called Quest's "Midnight Marauders" album BLASTING through the headphones of my little Sony portable CD player. Arguably their greatest work (some are partial to "Low End Theory"), it set the standard for smooth, thoughtful hip-hop music being used by artists like B.O.B and Lupe Fiasco. It is today's album you should get reaquainted with, and my favorite cut is "Electric Relaxation." Listen. Enjoy. And blow the dust off of this oldie.
